Register Your Clean-Up
Our Spring Clean Up Campaign encourage residents, businesses, schools and community groups to organize clean up events in St. John’s.
In 2013, 133 clean ups were registered and completed between May 15 and June 15, featuring over 8000 volunteers. These volunteers cleaned up neighborhoods, around their businesses, churches, schools, parks, and rivers.
Clean St. John’s, with the help of our sponsors Tim Hortons, Newfoundland and Labrador Housing and Rockwater Professional Products, helps provide free garbage bags, and prizes to registered clean ups. Additionally, we encourage groups to use the services that The City of St. John’s provides to help keep our city clean and beautiful, such as the bulk and metal pick up, and the hazardous waste drop of at the regional Waste Management Facility. You can find out more about these services here.
Remember, if you see litter, cigarette butts, unwanted graffiti, or tagging, you can report it by calling the City of St. John’s Access Service Center. Just dial 311.
